With Mila Stern dangling the location of her missing mother, Diana Casey Warner, as leverage, Chase pleads for leniency on Mila’s behalf. However, Eve, unmoved by Mila’s games, angrily refuses and demands Chase leave. Frustrated and out of options, Chase is for--d to confront the weight of her friend Casey’s predicament without the help she sought.

Casey Stern, ever the opportunist, visits her sister Mila in jail to deliver the bad news about Eve’s refusal. But Casey’s visit hides ulterior motives—she pressures Mila to reveal the location of hidden accounts and assets, promising to use them to hire a top attorney. Once Mila reluctantly agrees, Casey delivers a final betrayal: she has no intention of helping her sister and only wanted the money for herself. As Casey walks away with her prize, Mila curses her name, left powerless behind bars.

Amidst all the scheming, a glimmer of hope shines at Guardian Headquarters, where operations are running smoothly. Chase, pleased with the progress and support staff, promises to expand the team as soon as they find more heroines willing to join their mission of truth and justice. The future of the Guardians looks bright—if they can weather the coming storms.
