I loved the mask interface. That was hot and a great effect. Hope we see more of that tech.

Great story overall.

You fuckin wreck me every Chapter.

The manipulation of Golden Comet was so erotic and well conceived. You and Dr. Robo both have a way of making the Robotizing of unwilling females so chilling and yet very sexy as well. She is still flesh and blood inside but her brain has been shut off and her now tender shell is at the command of the Main Frame. The total destruction of the female Psyche in favor of a more ordered computer mind. I want and need more. Bravo.

After viewing the last chapter you can't help but notice that Golden Comet's uniform sort of melting away from her lush frame as the attack progresses. Is her costume a form of mental construct that reflects her powers? If this is true will her new programming cause her to grow a new outer covering more attuned to her new way of viewing the world? Even if this is just my take on the strip as you have presented it that would be a cool wrinkle don't you think?

Dear Reader,

Act 30 of The Platinum Earth, here:

http://memberslogin.hipcomix.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=114124

What to say about the latest act of The Platinum Earth? There may be possible spoilers ahead, so read the story first.
Well, I changed some of the textures on Platina Shrike. Compare her first appearance to the latest act and I think you can see the difference. I like the current one better...she looks less like plastic which is important, considering she is my main lady in this series.

Also, it was nice for me to finally bring back some of the older characters like Hivemother Keiko and the Iron Hand. The Iron Hand was my first story ever for The Platinum Earth and I absolutely feel they haven't had enough attention. In the coming year I will try to remedy that.

Finally just a little about Stylet - I wanted to have a heroine that was not only sexy but feminine and while all heroines are absolutely feminine here at HIP, I also wanted her to have a strong sense of her own glamor and femininity. Perhaps a comparison to draw the kind of character Frida Myeong is would be the Crimson Fox. In addition, I wanted a hot Eurasian character. Exotic is nice.

The masks will be around as demonstrated by today's story. The only drawback is you really can't get any oral sex out of them.

I actually found that scene to be a "rinse and repeat". That is, it's been done so many times here at HIP that it wasn't exactly an inspired moment. What I felt gave me the slight freshness factor was Cassiopeia's clinical observations as she was assimilating Gold Comet. I thought that was somewhat creative.

No, the costume just gets progressively cut and removed. If you really want the details, I suppose Cassiopeia did it with the aid of microlasers. Gold Comet has no psychic powers, she's just a speedster. But all I can say is wait for the cold months of January and February and you should be seeing something I hope will be mildly interesting, at least in terms of "clothing".

Thank you and see you all in two weeks.

Sincerely,
Sir Willoughby

OK, with the crash all my great feedback and complimentary posts were washed away with a dying beeps of a failing server.

So I wanted to try and get a few comments in before Act 32. If you have not read the Platinum Earth and like mind control this is a story for you.

Act 31 was great it that it introduced yet another evil entity that kidnaps and enslaves women, it's speech was decided alien and it's tentacles...well I'll let readers be the judge.

The space station side story is looking to set up for a fantastic 'Alien' style thriller where instead of an alien monster killing off the crew I am hoping for robotics expert Hector to start taking control of the female crew members...including mother and daughter, security agents trying to catch him, etc. In fact other than Hector the whole crew looks to be gorgeous women.

Then you have the masked folks at the headquarters wrecking havoc and the heroes desperately trying to find a way to stop them.

Some of the school girls kidnapped and conditioned have returned to fight on the bad guys side, knocking out a hero covering her comrades escape.

All in all a packed episode with promises of more to come.

P

PS: It even has Brown Sugar my all-time favorite heroine! Here is hoping she jumps dimensions to join in the fun. :)

Dear Reader,

Act 32 of The Platinum Earth is now released and available for reading here:

http://memberslogin.hipcomix.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=114128

While a lot of things happen, there aren't any naughty bits in this installment that I can see. As far as I am concerned, that is what people are paying money to see, so I apologize for that. However, I needed to keep the narrative going and certain things needed to happen at this time. I can say with confidence though, that January is going to be excessively naughty, so it all balances itself out in the end.

You'll notice that Snowflake has some new threads, which were fun to design.
In addition, I've introduced a few new characters in the form of the LRRC members, referred to as "Lurkers" in Platinum Earth military circles. The more astute of you may have observed that the two female crew members of the UNSS Dragoon look vaguely familiar. Well, that was done on purpose. The reason being...why not? Check out the crew members of the Verona space station as well and you'll see those ladies are also peppered with a few familiar faces.

See you in the new year.

Sincerely,
Sir Willoughby

I'm not going to give anything away here. You'll just have to wait and see.

Lady Paragon doesn't go down so easily. Even though Piranha and Skullcrusher have the powers of the superheroines Sea Sapphire and Union Belle, there is a reason Lady Paragon is considered one of the most powerful "illuminates" on The Platinum Earth.

No need, many of us are here for the mc elements. :)

I have to admit I like her old threads a little more, personal preference. With all the attached objects that would have been a challenge to make and keep together for action pose renders.

Nuts, waits with baited breadth for the next installment. ;)

Yes, music to my ears.

Well you have set the table very well for the next issue. Although knowing your iconoclastic streak you will not do as we expect. You have a touch of Evil Genius in you plotting and character development. Here are some things that I hope will happen.

Brown Sugar will become a really bad ass member of the hive. If so I look forward to her metamorphisis and her raw animal power being unleashed.

Lady Paragon will become one of the deadliest and most destructive Pawns of our villain.

Snowflake will be overwhelmed by her new enhanced powers granted by the suit and go a little crazy.

Only time will tell. I love the story so far.

Dear Reader,

Not really that much to say about this installment that you can't already read in the pages of the latest Platinum Earth Act:

http://memberslogin.hipcomix.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=121104

The Mars storyline is progressing and the sequence in this Act was probably more interesting fr me to render down and caption than anything else in this act.

Regrettably, I think Snowflake went down too easily. No, let me rephrase that: I would like to have shown more of Snowflake in action with her power suit. But, this Act was already pushing 25 pages and I quite frankly didn't have the time to do everything I wanted. Snowflake and Stylet needed to go down this week. But seriously, people come to HIP for the sex, peril and bondage. I think it would be a bit self-centered of me to think that I should be making some kind of action comic that you could read any other week from Marvel or DC. Stay focused on the program!

Things hot up next issue with a whopping 32 pages, most of it centered on captured Metrobay heroine Brown Sugar. You'll also learn more about The Platinum Earth back story in this one issue than anything else I think I've put out there so far.

Sincerely,
Sir Willoughby

This was a good issue. While physical sex is very enjoyable I personally come for the Domination and Subjugation of the pure of spirit. Blame all those early horror movies if you will Dracula, Wonder Woman and Electra Woman and Dyna girl just to name a few. (So the last two are fantasy and not Horror...Sue me).

I like the Platinum Lady Paragon and the plan to simply destroy her character by forcing her to view her husband and Golden Comet fucking is pure genius.

And since I have had a Hard spot for Brown Sugar since she was temporarily made into the "Brown Control Unit" in another comic I can't wait to see how she is treated in the next issue.

Dear Reader,

Act 34 of The Platinum Earth has been released. Members can read it here:

http://memberslogin.hipcomix.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=121163

My primary goal for this issue was simply to pack it full of hot sexual action. Given the popularity of Brown Sugar here at Hipcomix and now at mccomix.com, I felt the readership would appreciate this issue. You'll also notice a lot of back story and exposition...I am hoping that the whole Platinum Earth world is becoming clearer to people. If not, then I am failing in my job as a storyteller. All the concepts explained in this issue have been the unrevealed background story of this universe for well over 16 months. I just needed to find an appropriate time to start revealing more of it to you, the reader.

In the next few Acts, the action is going to heat up further as even more characters are drawn into the fray from both the Metrobay universe and the existing universe. My advice is that it would be a bad time to cancel your subscription now!

See you in two weeks.

Sincerely,
Sir Willoughby

What a fuckin awesome chapter. I enjoyed the back story and anytime we get Brown Sugar involved it is a good story. I am hooked by the way you have employed the characters from the Metro Bay Universe. Jade Lightning has a sort of Petite Innocence in her rendering and cover for the next issue as well as it's title sets a mans imagination wondering.
I for one can not wait to see what emerges from the Cocoon Brown Sugar has been encased in. I don't remember seeing any other characters suffering such a fate in previous issues so I know it will be very special and I hope extremely HOT.
This strip and Battlestrength are what keeps me cumming back month after month.

Sorry, I have been away.

Love your work and I am sorry I have not been here to post some feedback. This is a great story and well worth the subscription. These last few chapters featured one of my favorite characters to boot! :)

Warning, reading further may provide some indirect spoilers.

Lets see Chapter 33, not a bad chapter, I have to say I am not quite so into the whole psych torture thing with Lady Paragon, but I figure it is a plot device. I am also a little lost on "Verona", your stories usually move at a breakneck pace, this side story just seems to move from event to event and I am still curious as to where it is going. That being noted there are some really fantastic renders with multiple figures and depth (which is really hard) and I must commend your work.

Chapter 34, quite long and the history of the 20th century was a nice touch. Although why Project 12 wanted to use humiliation and light torture, when they have so many other more wondrous methods? Georgia Brown still did not really have the green eyes or the fanatic loyalty we have come to expect....then to have what was done to her at the end was even more confusing. I am more of a fan of the Kuuntai and its mind control technique...which seems more direct than the method used on Georgia Brown. Now the good parts, the first slave's explanation of the dimension and plan to recruit an army was fantastic, no one is more fanatical than the convert and this was no exception, excellent plot and dialogue. The preview page for the next chapter just leaves you salivating...

So while I admit I am starting to get a little confused, I am sure there will be quite a tie in, the render work is great, story is epic in scope, looking forward to a Ghannite invasion!

Is something wrong with "Platinum Earth"? I don't see it on the preview page for Saturday, Feb. 6, or any other date in the future? Sir Willoughby, along with Urorobos and now Mr. Cryptic, are what keep me coming back. Please let me know if "Platinum Earth" is continuing. Thank you.

Dear Reader,

Act 35 of The Platinum Earth is here:

http://memberslogin.hipcomix.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=123239

Last time, I mentioned that Act 34 was a bumper 30+ page issue. Well, it looks like this one isn't far behind, either. There's simply too much that needs to happen between now and the end of the arc. As you can see, the potential cast of actors is growing act by act.

Be prepared for some interesting fun in the acts to come. I think you can see the set ups coming from this installment. But i still have a few surprises up my sleeve.

Quote:

Well, I guess now you know what the title was referring to.

Well, I suppose now you know that, too.

Quote:

It is going somewhere. I wouldn't include a mini Verona scenario in every issue of this arc if it wasn't.

I like to mix things up.

Holy cow.

I cannot BELIEVE what Snowflake did. Normally, I'd say that was out of character, but considering everything she's gone though it makes sense. Still... I never thought kind, sweet, and loving Snowflake was capable of such actions!

Also, Brown Sugar's change... just wow.

Things are looking more and more dire by the second. Exciting stuff.

Post Re: Tales from the Platinum Earth - Discussion
Dear Sir Willoughby:

I have been in this site for three months, but only now I could manage to get to the forum. I would like to tell you that your tales are a well crafted combination of story telling, gorgeous images, and a lot of coherent, yet diverse, plot. That something that combines fetishes with a real, adult plot, trying to create a world, (not, a universe) with his own mithology and logic is what makes of your work one of my favorites.

I would like to, but unfortunately, I cannot.

You had me at the giants robots (Act 10).

Oh my God! Mind control, a lot of fetishes, gorgeous women, interesting villains, and giant robots! I knew your work was gonna rock! Choutetsu Daimyo Granvion X #1, yeah! Aliens and villains, beware! Because if TV has ever teached me something, is that nobody, no matter in what dimension, could defeat an humongous mecha!

Well, I want to comment something about your work, but not about this act. I want to comment about Act 25: Wormholes, with the invited stars Snowflake and Lighting Jade!

What I liked most about act 25 was the characterization of those two: The characters are looking cool, patrolling Grim City, getting action, and not in inmediate peril, nor taken by a mind control device, nor in bondage.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

But those characters are two super heroines doing something super heroic for a change. Before your take, I only saw an airhead (who maybe wasn't even blond) and a chinese chick being enslaved. But with your little crime fighting scene, I came to care about those characters... Yes, maybe Snowflake is an airhead, but she is trying hard to make up the shame inflicted to Jade by her conduct. (Also, she is now a blonde, and the thing you make to her hair is certainly for the better). Jade maybe is more developed as a character, but her characterization as a kick ass crimefighter was the thing that convinced me that she was awesome.

And now, I can see them mind controlled, thanks!

That's why I feel that in this latest arc 35, Snowflakes's character has been derailed. Sure, there was the foreshadowing of arc 28, and then she is terrified being stranded in an alternate universe, but give up so easy? Well, I think I would give up very fast, but not Snowflake, she is a super heroine, she has training, etc... I think she at least has to be sexually assaulted first and then she had to give up...

Well, that's what I wanted to tell you... Oh, and that, at last, we will see what happened to Nimbus! I expect your response, Sir Willoughby

So, Until Anna Fujioka gets a remote control for Choutetsu Daimyo Granvion X #1!

Post Re: Tales from the Platinum Earth - Discussion
I'll admit, I'm enjoying the Platinum Earth series a bit. It's never boring and tends to have some interesting twists and turns.

But the latest bit with Snowflake, I confess, gives me some... difficulties. It struck me as out of character and was by far the most selfish, cowardly, and twisted thing I have EVER seen any heroine, Metrobay or otherwise, do. I don't want to sound like a hypocrite, because I encourage risky storytelling and dramatic changes, but Snowflake has always been arguably the only "innocent" and bubbly heroine Metrobay had and she just became so incredibly dark. Actions like those you don't just walk away from or apologize for and everything is okay.

Which puts me in an interesting dilemma as I have a concurrent story involving Snowflake and future stories involving her were planned,, but this character shift complicates things. I'm no saying it's a bad change, but, well, it kind of sucker-punched me out of the blue. It's certainly titilating, and I guess in the end that's what's important, but her actions forever change her character. She wasn't mind controlled, she wasn't manipulated or mislead. She intentionally did something awful and reprehensible. And I'm going to have to figure out a way to make my own stories work around that.
