The airport was crowded before dawn with thousands of people...all waiting for the arrival of Russia's top rock band...the SWAN ROCKERS...who were coming to Detroit for the start of their first concert tour outside of Russia. The excitement of the crowds only heightened with the announcement of the arrival of the Boeing 737 aircraft carrying the all female Russian band as it landed. Given the events of recent days...security at the airport for the Swan Rockers' arrival was tight.

Uniformed police officers were spread throughout the terminal building...helping airport security to keep a clear buffer zone between the ecstatic fans who were at the airport to welcome the band...and the Swan Rockers and their entourage. Detectives MICHELLE WALKER and JIMMY KOWALSKI showed their badges to airport security...and were escorted towards the VIP lounge to await the band as soon as they cleared customs.

"I don't know about this" said Michelle as she sipped some coffee as they walked... sunglasses over her blue eyes to keep people from seeing that she wasn't excited to be there. Her younger partner was a little more optimistic. "It's not all that bad partner...You got to admit it beats desk work" replied Jimmy.

Jimmy was happy to hear this but kept his excitement under wraps. He was glad to be woeking a case officially with her. Only partnering with Scorpion Woman would make him happier. He suspected the Venomous Vixen felt the same...because she was in love with him.

"The mayor wants you two to handle security for the Russian band Swan Rockers...They arrive tomorrow in Detroit for the start of their first concert tour in the US...They were the subject of attacks back in Russia...The mayor doesn't want anything to happen to them...especially with all those dangerous criminals like Scorpion Woman out on the loose" said Arthur.

She felt the urge to hit him...but then felt Jimmy's right hand on her left shoulder. "We got this sir" said Jimmy. "Yes...We do"
added Michelle...as she realised he was diffusing the situation for her. It was not what she wanted to do. Michelle wanted to find out why her ex- boyfriend TREY JOHNSON had returned to Detroit...what was hus connection to the masked female vigilante
BLACK TIGRESS...and the mysterious villain who called himself the MAHAR.

They had all left Detroit in the aftermath of the City Day parade attack. Finding out what they were doing would have to wait for now. Michelle was at least happy that she said that she would he close to Jimmy on this job.

Flanked by a large group of uniformed police officers...the Swan Rockers emerged into the arrival terminal..to the screams of hundreds of fans...mostly women...shooting pictures and videos of them...trying to get pictures and videos with them...as well as their autographs.

Lead singer DOROTHY SHARAPOVA...and lead guitarist ANA KUNESTOVA were most sought after by the fans...facilitating their requests for pictures, videos and autographs. Michelle and Jimmy followed on the heels of the Swan Rockers as they stopped several times on their way to the exit.

"Wow...There's a lot of people here...I didn't expect this" said Jimmy. " I'm sure the band didn't either...We have to keep moving...This could be a risk" said Michelle. Before Jimmy could reply.. Michelle walked towards Dorothy and Ana who were signing autographs for fans.

" Miss Sharapova... Miss Kunestova... Detective Walker...We have to keep moving...It's going to difficult for us to keep you and you friends safe with all these people in this small space" said Michelle to Dorothy and Ana. Dorothy looked at Michelle as she listened to her words. She got a good feeling about her. "All right Detective Walker...We'll do as you say" said Dorothy in flawless English. Ana...who loved the fan adoration was not so agreeable.

" You work for us...You can't tell us what to do!" said the guitarist with pink highlights in her short blonde hair. Dorothy brushed back a strand of her long loose blonde hair. She knew how hot headed and stubborn her girlfriend Ana could be...and how most people were intimidated by her.

" Playtime's over...Let's go" Michelle said as she grabbed Ana's left wrist with her right hand. "Oww!" yelped Ana as Michelle applied a fraction of her Scorpion Strength as she led Ana down the red carpet they were on..towards the exit...to the amusement and fascination of Dorothy.

Minutes later..the Swan Rockers exited the terminal...to the cheers of more fans who were waiting outside for them...barricades and more uniformed police officers keeping them back as the Swan Rockers were escorted to a convoy of waiting vehicles. Dorothy
and Ana got into the rear of an SUV. Jimmy got into the driver's seat. Michelle climbed into the passenger side on his right. The band's drummer, base guitarist and keyboard player got into a second SUV...with two uniformed cops.

The vehicles departed with police squad cars driving in front and behind them...as they left the airport...heading towards the city and the hotel where the Swan Rockers would be staying while they were in Detroit. In the main SUV... Ana was complaining
bitterly in Russian to Dorothy about how Michelle treated her. Dorothy sought to calm her girlfriend...keeping the conversation in Russian so as not to offend the two police officers.

"Sounds pretty intense back there" said Jimmy who had no idea what Dorothy and Ana were saying. Michelle did as STINGER...

As Ana leaned back...Dorothy sat up and spoke with Michelle and Jimmy. "I'm sorry if we caused a problem at the airport...This
tour is very important to us...We want people to love Russia as we do...We're very excited to be here" said Dorothy. "I've read
about you guys...Is it true that the Russian mafia tried to stop you from touring the Us?" asked Jimmy. Dorothy smiled..intrigued by how knowledgeable the young detective was. "Many people in Russia want to cling to the old ways...They did try to stop the tour...but we're here now" she replied.

"Guess you have that SWAN WOMAN to thank for that...I read she saved you and your band a lot...and she shows up whenever

one brave lady...Wish we had more people like her in Detroit" said Jimmy.

"Brace for impact!" yelled Jimmy as the street came up to meer them. As the SUV...landed on its roof on the street...the right front passenger door flew open and Michelle flew out. "Michelle!!" yelled Jimmy trying unsuccessfully to grab her..seconds before the SUV crash landed on its roof.

Everything happened fast after that. Dorothy saw smoke fill the area...and she heard the sounds of gunfire outside of their stricken vehicle. She saw Jimmy and Ana were both unconscious from the impact. Her first thought was to get Ana to safety. She was about to pull Jimmy out...when she saw figures approaching through the smoke. Before she could...Dorothy watched with amazement as a figure in black appeared and attacked the armed mercenaries before
they could strike. "It's her" gasped Dorothy looking on in awe as Scorpion Woman took the unsuspecting mercenaries by surprise. With the mercenaries down and out...Scorpion Woman ran over to the overturned SUV...where Dorothy was lying on the ground. "Are you all right? " asked Michelle as dhe extended her right hand to Dorothy."Yes...but Ana...Detective Kowalski...They're still inside...Detective Walker...She fell out" said Dorothy as she grasped the Venomous Vixen's right hand in her own and allowed her to pull her up off the ground.

Scorpion Woman stepped past Dorothy...reaching inside the rear of the SUV... pullling out Ana and lying her gently on the ground. As Dorothy tended to her girlfriend...Scorpion Woman went to the driver's side of the SUV...ripped the door off and took Jimmy
out.

"Will he be all right? asked Dorothy as she walked over to Scorpion Woman. Michelle composed herself and stood up.

"You know who I am??" gasped Dorothy in surprise. " Yes..and it seems trouble from home has followed you here" replied Scorpion Woman. "Then you will protect my friends and me?" asked Dorothy...her blue eyes glittering as she looked at the Venomous Vixen with gratitude and admiration.

Scorpion Woman was a little surprised when the Russian rock star hugged her. She was also surprised when she felt her big puffy pink nipples stiffen slightly under her tight black armoured leotard." Jinmy and Ana had minor injuries...a bruise on the left side of his face...a small bruise under her chin. Dorothy had a small cut on
her forehead. The other members of the Swan Rockers were fine and were now secure at the hotel they were staying at. Michelle spoke with Dorothy. "Who were those guys?... If we're going to protect you and your friendss.. We'll need to know everything" said Michelle. Dorothy nodded. " It's true that the Russian mafia doesn"t want us to change how the world sees Russia... We got death threats...and were even attacked...but we were saved by Swan Woman" replied Dorothy.

" Well...That's in Russia...Here it's our job to keep you safe...We're going to have to be extra vigilant" said Michelle. Silently, she found it interesting that Dorothy suffered superficial injuries in the crash...which were now largely healed. It made her wonder if there was more to Dorothy Sharapova.

LUDMILLE...lead singer of the RUSSIAN CATS rock band...and the female assassin known as the R3D KILLER...received a call that the attack on the Swan Rockers had failed due to Scorpion Woman's interference. Ludmille...who was also the villainess known in

Red Killer meanwhile studied a file she had about Scorpion Woman. "The file tells me nothing!!...I need more information if I am to stop her" said the female assassin. "She may be protecting the Swan Rockers...Ordinary methods may not work...I will tell my contractor to speak with his contacts in CYCLOPS INTERNATIONAL...They will make another attack on the Swan Rockers...but bring a dpecial item to deal with the Scorpion Woman if she interferes again" said Red Killer.

2 pm

Michelle, Jimmy, Dorothy and Ana stepped into the hospital lobby after being discharged. "We'd better get you two to the hotel
to meet the rest of your band.." said Michelle. Dorothy nodded."I'm gkad we're safe...Thanks to Scorpion Woman" said Dorothy to her companions. Ana rolled her eyes. Michelle grinned slightly which did not go unnoticed by Jimmy. " Changed your mind about being a babysitter to celebrities?" asked Jimmy.

" I may have been too quick to judge...Dorothy Sharapova has an open mind about things...We should trust her.. besides we need
to find out who those gunmen were...They escaped in the chaos...They could attack again." replied Michelle. "Right" agreed Jimmy.
As they exited the hospital...they were greeted by a horde of reporters who were demanding answers about the attack on the
Swan Rockers. Acting Mayor Mario Vanetti stepped in front and took over.

" As you can see ladies and gentlemen...our guests are fine...thanks to our city's police officers...rest assured...these criminals will
be brought to justice" declared Vanetti. Before the reporters coukd question Dorothy or Ana...Michelle and Jimmy ushered them into a waiting police cruiser which sped off once they were inside...leaving Vanetti to promote himself to the media. "Our mayor is an asshole" said Michelle. "Ours is too" replied Dorothy. They laughed. Jimmy and Ana did too. As they left the hospital, they
didn't know Cyclops International agents were watching them...and making plans.

9 pm

The Swan Rockers were on stage for their first concert in Detroit...at a plaza in the city's historic Grand Circus District. Standing backstage...Michelle couldn't help but be impressed by their performance. Dorothy had the crowd mesmerised with her singing

The group of Cyclops agents turned and opened fire with silencer tipped MP-5 assault rifles.

Jimmy pulled out his Beretta and fired a couple shots as he dove for cover. No one heard the gunfire due to the sounds coming from the stage.
