In our last exciting episode, the Guardians began rebuilding, the search for Chase Monroe's only hope moved forward, and Trixi Wilson decided she was finished waiting for Alex Veritas to make the next move.

Returning to Guardian Headquarters after her ordeal at Knox Labs, Trixi discovered that Sonja Ford had kept operations running smoothly in her absence. But there was little time to recover. Jake Eldritch arrived with Alannah "Lana" and Nadya Belov, two eager students determined to join the fight, and news of a deal Trixi could not ignore. Jake had traded Nova Davis and Aria Grant to Davina Pyckle in exchange for something desperately needed: a specialized scanner capable of locating Solstice and the Element-1 within her. If it works, they may finally have the means to find Samantha DuLange and free Chase from the Eternity Vault.

Trixi reluctantly agreed to help, but another problem quickly became impossible to ignore. Something inside her still felt cold. Mechanical. Davina's control had been broken, yet its effects remained. Then Sonja delivered even worse news. While Trixi was captive, Alex Veritas struck Guardian Headquarters and abducted Lily, Mia, and Chelsea in a single devastating attack.

That was enough.

Armed with her Daedalus implant and the psychic protection of the Neuro-Expropriator, Trixi declared war on Alex and infiltrated Project Whisper herself. Locks, cameras, and security systems fell before her without resistance. Inside, she discovered Lily and Sunny Dae trapped within the Whisper Cradles, while Elise Lavaux had been fully transformed into Ocelith. Trixi immediately began disconnecting Alex's victims from the conditioning system, only for the Cradles to fight back. Alex's programming surged through the connection and directly into Trixi's mind before her implant violently rejected it.

Then Alex arrived.

With Sunny and Ocelith awakened, Alex immediately pushed the pair back toward the rivalry she had painstakingly engineered between them. But Trixi had become the more interesting problem. Alex wanted to know how Trixi could stand before her without surrendering her mind. When Trixi revealed the Neuro-Expropriator protecting her, curiosity quickly became confrontation.

And Mary Annette stepped forward.

Alex may command minds, but Mary doesn't need to enter one to destroy an opponent. With her telekinetic power ready, she challenges the scientist standing in front of her with one very important question:

What did Trixi design to nullify hers?

Can Davina's scanner finally locate Solstice beneath the ocean? What lasting damage did her control leave inside Trixi?
