In our last exciting episode, alliances shifted, minds shattered, and the city moved one step closer to collapse.

Jake Eldridge made his move. Approaching Amely Knox directly, he offered a trade: a barrel of Element-2 in exchange for his restored position as CEO of Stern Industries, and information. Valuable information. Knox agreed, but only under one condition: Jake tells her everything Casey Stern is hiding. Once alone, Jake revealed the truth… Chase Monroe is alive and being held captive beneath Stern Industries. Knox immediately understood the value of that revelation. And if Casey is hiding one legendary heroine… who else might be buried down there? Even better, If Casey is removing Supers from the street, the government would have renewed interest in the EVO project.

Quantum Flux returns to Guardian Headquarters after a successful mission, where she finds Sunny Dae, AKA Lightstreak, coordinating responses and managing the growing workload with new recruits like Mindweaver and Quantum Echo. Elise Lavaux, AKA Ocelith, arrives at Guardian Headquarters seeking revenge against Lightstreak. Mindweaver attempts to use her psychic abilities to control Ocelith, but Alex Veritas interferes and takes over both women's minds. Ocelith then attacks Lightstreak, knocking her unconscious. Mindweaver is overwhelmed by Alex's mental assault, and Alex asserts control over Mindweaver’s mind.

Ocelith attacked Sunny without hesitation, leaving Lightstreak unconscious on the floor as Alex tightened her grip inside Lily’s head. Another move. Another lesson. Another reminder that Alex is always watching.

At the Springfield train station, Officer Eve Morgan voluntarily entered the trap. Disguised as Tayla Lane, she confronted Cassandra Carlan, but Cassandra was not deceived for a moment. Calmly and coolly, she revealed she knew Eve’s identity perfectly and warned she would erase *her* next if she didn't cooperate. Lacking leverage and unsure of Cassandra’s full abilities, Eve had no choice but to comply and follow Cassandra’s orders.

What other prisoners are hidden beneath Stern Industries? Can Lily free herself from Alex’s psychic grip before permanent damage is done? And what exactly does Cassandra Carlan want from Officer Eve Morgan?
