To protect the truth, Jennifer tells Agent Rebecca Pierce that the newcomer is their scientific creation. A cover story. A lie wrapped in necessity. Pierce grants her a new identity. But secrets that big rarely stay buried.

Meanwhile, at Dr. Kristen Greer’s lab, the clock is ticking. Alex is still there. In the margins of their thoughts. Guiding Lily and Mia toward confrontation like chess pieces she intends to sacrifice. Greer works fast. The costumes are rushed, but deliberate. She studies their posture, their fears, their hesitation, and designs identities built to weaponize those traits before Alex can exploit them. The reveal marks a turning point. They are no longer running.

And deep inside the Whisper Project headquarters, Elise Lavaux is no longer conflicted. No longer fractured. Freed from the Covenant of the Veil, she fully embraces her Ocelith persona. Under Alex’s direction, she prepares to resume the psychological war against her heroine nemesis, Lightstreak. The love that once defined her is now a blade sharpened by command.
