In our last exciting episode, the players shifted, the loyalties twisted, and the game Alex Veritas started now plays out across every level of power, political, psychic, and personal.

The Siren has risen. Once a silent enforcer, she now controls the Covenant of the Veil. With Alex pulling the strings from the shadows, the cult’s doctrine bends to a new voice. Magdalene, Sabby Ritter, is the first target, being reshaped, reprogrammed… not for redemption… but for repurposing.

Elsewhere, Lily Sinclair and Mia Sanders continued their pursuit of justice, but on someone else’s chessboard. Freed from Project Whisper and burning with purpose, they found Dr. Kristen Greer and begged for her help so they had the tools to rescue Mary Annette. Greer agreed, reluctantly. But unknown to them, Alex is *still* in their heads, nudging, guiding, cultivating them into heroines for reasons known only to her.

Back at Stern HQ, Casey doubled down on her obsession. She’s still trying to unlock and extract the abilities of Nova and Aria, but her focus has shifted. A whisper, a rumor: someone has taken *Chase Monroe*... and she’s powerless. To Casey, that means one thing, opportunity.

At Club Indigo, Jake Eldridge returned to inspect his “assets”, Conviction and Danger Dame, still under Copi LaPort’s control. But Jake had a deeper goal: an introduction to Abigail Hawthorne. Copi denied him. Suspicious. Calculated. Later, Jake suddenly left, asking Copi for added security. Copi offered Samantha Daly. Jake needed a guard for a private meeting with Casey Stern. Whatever’s about to unfold between those two power players, it’s not safe for anyone in the room.

And at Knox Labs, Davina Pyckle took action. With American Override and Override Prime now her field weapons, she rolled out Neuro-Expropriator 2.0, a faster, sharper system designed to react instantly to Alex-level threats. Trixi Wilson doesn’t like it. But what choice do they have? Davina’s plan is brutal… but hiding in the PRPs and hoping someone else defeats Alex is no plan at all.

Will Lily and Mia realize they’re still being played? What will happen when Jake and Casey’s uneasy alliance ignites? And can anyone stop the Siren before the Veil becomes something far worse?
