In our last exciting episode, the protocols of power were reactivated… and immediately spun out of control. After a breach traced back to University City, Amely Knox issued the Override Protocol, reactivating her two most fearsome operatives: Csheri Bombay, the cold and clinical Override Prime, and Amber Wavez, the once-noble heroine turned neural puppet, now known only as American Override.

But Knox didn’t count on this. American Override had been under Alex Veritas’s psychic influence for months, working from the shadows of Project Whisper. When Knox’s machine signal collided with Alex’s mental domination, it wasn’t a reset, it was an overwrite. The machine won.

Now, both Override agents have vanished. Knox is furious. Trixi is combing the network, hunting for any trace of them. But during her dive into the Neuro-Expropriator’s source code, Trixi found something else… something Dr. Pyckle buried in its original design. A darker contingency. One she hasn’t shared with anyone… yet.

Elsewhere, in the heart of University City, Aurore Jackson, AKA Conviction, prepared for her infiltration of Club Indigo. The plan was simple: gain employment, access management systems, and expose the criminal syndicate rotting the city from within. After her audition, she was told to report to the manager, Kopi LaPort. The final interview is tonight. What’s waiting on the other side of that office door is anything but routine.

Across the sea, patience wore thin. Chase Monroe could wait no longer. Ignoring Stormdragon’s final warning, she left the island, choosing loyalty over prophecy. Stormdragon begged her to stay, but Chase had made up her mind. Her friends need her. The Guardians need her. And she’s done waiting for permission.

Meanwhile, in the classified corridors beneath University City, Jennifer Vale and Keri Dawson made a breakthrough. Using commandeered defense satellites, they pinpointed the source of the alien signal, Jessamy’s. It pulsed from a forest just outside the city. There, they found her ship, damaged, leaking radiation… alive. But as they approached, the craft pulsed again… then they vanished.

Are Jennifer and Keri lost in some alien dimension? Will Conviction survive her first night inside Club Indigo? And what devastating revelation did Trixi uncover in Pyckle’s code?
