Marcia Markus, sister to Dr. Shelley Markus, was captured by one of Daniel Summer's henchmen. She was insurance that the Dr. would do in experimental procedure on Charlie Summer, Daniel's daughter. One that could possibly save her life. Dr. Markus was reluctant however, because the procedure was never calibrated for humans.
