In our last exciting episode, Jake Eldritch returned to Knox Labs with the resources to push the search for Solstice forward, while the crisis surrounding the Guardians continued to spiral out of control.

Davina Pyckle immediately revealed that the rescue operation had changed. AmeriGirl's durability made a submarine unnecessary, and Knox's old failsafe gave them something far more reliable to track. Instead of searching for Element-1, Amber Waves would scan the ocean floor for the trace amount of Element-2 hidden inside Samantha DuLange's Programming Reinforcement Pod. Find the signal, find the PRP. Find the PRP, find Solstice. And if Samantha still carries Element-1, Jake may finally have the means to free Chase Monroe from the PermaSeal Eternity Vault.

Before the search can begin, Jake tightens his command over Stern Industries. Csheri is ordered to report directly to Sublevel-4, where her rebellious personality proves meaningless against the authority built into her Neuro-Expropriator. There, Jake lays out the full operation. Amber will pilot the Element-2 scanner across nearly 3,848 square miles of ocean floor. Conviction will bring the dangerously understaffed Guardians under control. Csheri will recruit Dr. Greer. Danger Dame will handle Casey Stern and her mother, placing both women into suspended animation until Chase can be rescued.

Every piece is moving.

At Guardian Headquarters, the situation grows worse by the hour. With Trixi missing after her confrontation with Alex Veritas, Jennifer Vale and Keri Dawson struggle to cover emergency calls across the city. Lightstreak has abandoned nearly everything else in her obsessive hunt for Ocelith. Sonja Ford remains at the command console, watching Trouble Alerts multiply and trying to understand the pattern behind the chaos.

Then the intruder alarm sounds.

The visitor is StormDragon.

She has bypassed Guardian Headquarters' defenses, entered without invitation, and arrived with one purpose: she is looking for Chase Monroe.

Jake is already racing against an ocean, an indestructible prison, and Davina Pyckle's growing control over everyone around him. Now another force has entered the search, one with her own history with the Guardian and no intention of waiting patiently for answers.
