The Palau rainforest was a cathedral of emerald light and heavy, humid air. the only sounds that dominated the landscape were the rhythmic calls of tropical birds, the distant crash of the Pacific surf, and the constant, low-frequency hum of millions of insects. It was a place of ancient, undisturbed peace.

Then, the vibration started...It began as a faint tremor in the earth, a rhythmic pulsing that unsettled the lizards basking on the damp rocks. Slowly, the natural symphony of the jungle was drowned out by a mechanical roar. From around a bend in the narrow, winding secondary road, the first vehicle appeared.

It was a massive, midnight-black SUV, its paint polished to a mirror finish that reflected the towering ferns and giant mahogany trees as it tore past. Following closely behind were three more, forming a disciplined, predatory line. The windows were tinted a deep, opaque obsidian; not a single face was visible, not a single gesture could be seen from within.

the convoy felt like an invasion. There was no siren, no flashing lights, and no official markings, only the oppressive silence of t he tinted glass and the overwhelming power of the machines. They were moving with a singular, urgent purpose, cutting a scar of noise through the wilderness.

Inside the lead vehicle sits Uncle Ghost, his face unseen, silhouette sharp, posture relaxed like a man who’s killed more people than he’s spoken to.
