Deep in Sublevel-5, Jake Eldridge descended once more to visit Chase Monroe and Diana Warner. Casey Stern demanded answers regarding the promised Element-2 delivery, and Jake delivered them coldly: Knox Labs would not release raw E-2 materials… but Knox *would* construct something else. A tomb. An unbreakable containment vault designed specifically for Chase Monroe. Permanent. Sealed. Inescapable. For Casey, revenge is no longer theoretical, it’s finally within reach.

As the discussion continued, Casey and Jake explored the possibility of something larger: an alliance between Stern Industries and Knox Labs. Corporate power. Experimental science. Weaponized superhuman assets. The implications are staggering. Yet beneath Jake’s ambition, cracks are beginning to show. Regret. Hesitation. Casey tested him one final time, offering him the chance to torment Chase and Diana before their restraints were activated for the night. Jake refused. A small moment… but one that revealed he may not be the same man he once was.

Meanwhile, the fallout from Eve Morgan’s disappearance spread through the Springfield Police Department. Captain Marquez officially suspended Detective Lena Shaw pending investigation after contact with Eve was completely lost. Surveillance failed. Communications died. And the last confirmed sighting placed Eve willingly walking away from the train station with Cassandra Carlan. What began as an undercover operation is now officially a missing officer case.

Back at Guardian Headquarters, the heroines struggled to recover from Ocelith’s assault and Alex Veritas’s psychic hijacking of Mindweaver. Dr. Kristen Greer arrived to examine Lily’s condition, but before she could begin, Alex spoke directly through Lily herself, taunting the room, warning the heroines not to interfere, and reminding everyone present that she can reach into their lives whenever she chooses. The message was clear: Alex isn’t threatened. She’s entertained.

And finally, the truth about Eve Morgan’s fate is revealed. Cassandra Carlan delivered her directly into the hands of Dr. Miriam Spectre and Siren. There, hidden beneath Springfield, Eve has become the newest subject in a Whisper-based neural conditioning program. Their goal isn’t simple mind control. It’s slower. More permanent. They intend to reshape Officer Eve Morgan into a vigilante loyal only to their organization… one layer of conditioning at a time, acting as a spy within the legal and superhero communities..

Will Jake’s growing regret change the course of Casey’s plans? Can Lily free herself from Alex’s psychic reach before permanent damage is done? And how long before Eve Morgan forgets who she used to be?
