Meanwhile, Ocelith, driven by Alex’s mind control, scoured University City in a relentless hunt for revenge against Lightstreak, unaware that Sunny remained in the clutches of the Covenant of the Veil. In Sublevel 10, Casey Stern uncovered the shocking truth that her mother, Diana Casey Warner, was alive and imprisoned—her former heroine status tarnished by her descent into villainy. These revelations set the stage for dark twists and conflicts in the battle for control of University City.

Now, Greer finds herself overwhelmed as she becomes a beacon for the lost and aimless heroines struggling in Chase Monroe’s absence. With Chase training at the Temple of Aten under Stormdragon’s guidance, alongside Conviction and Danger Dame, the Guardians are left without their leader. The visitors to Greer reveal just how fractured and leaderless the team has become, each seeking direction and a semblance of hope in these turbulent times.

Meanwhile, Knox and Csheri face their own struggles as they attempt to regroup without a lead scientist to guide their operations. Left scrambling, the two wrestle with their next move, caught in a web of uncertainty and rivalry that threatens to undermine their fragile alliance.

In the shadows of Sublevel 5, Casey Stern sets her sights on a dangerous scheme. She manipulates Electron back into action, luring her into her plans for an unknown but undoubtedly nefarious purpose. Casey’s calculated moves hint at a larger strategy, but her endgame remains a mystery.

Will Greer be able to hold the team together in Chase’s absence, or will the Guardians continue to fracture? Can Knox and Csheri recover from their losses and devise a plan to regain control? What is Casey’s true purpose in luring Electron into Sublevel 5, and how far is she willing to go to achieve her goals?
