Post Free Cover overload?
Just a question - on the Free section cover page - do we really want to show covers 3 weeks ahead of time? I'd have one week tops - there are updates buried down four rows that havent even happened yet.

Granted I have my covers loaded up to August, but I had all of them hidden but one - and I think someone else "showed" the 2nd one.

Just my .02. I'll go with the flow.

Makes sense to me...keeping the covers hidden until it's their week.

We could use the covers to promote at other sites as well....or maybe link to the free cover gallery.

I guess the issue with covers being buried also comes from having so many active series. With six updates a week, one week fills two rows of 3 covers.

Maybe the thumbs could be smaller or fit four to a row?

i've set the gallery up for one week in advance {sun-sat) and reduced the thumbs and borders and set them at 4 across.

how does that work for you all?

this way they show the current work and offer a
limited view of the future.

i like the idea of linking to the gallery, it offers
a graphic snapshot of what's going on at the site.

Is it at all possible to provide a link directly from the free cover to the members area comic that it is promoting (once that comic has been updated)?

if creators want to take the time to post a link
to their paid gallery when it goes live, that's fine
by me. we have a consistent labelling now, whatever
is done should also be consistent.

or maybe we should have a link that leads to the
members' general gallery page, since there is no
consistent time when their galleries are released,
only the creators know for certain. that means one
more task for creators when they take their gallery
live...

i don't really think that people look at the cover
gallery on the day a project is released, i think
they look at it for an advance glimpse at what is coming. the front page of the site features art for
the given day's release.

I went ahead and yanked two months of my covers from the hidden zone - to make it less cluttered for you guys.
