Dear B69: DCG # 15 really remembered me of something… not only the deconstruction, (that is supposed remind you of all the genre stories) but about something specific. I remembered the Justice League chapter where Stargirl was so jealous of Super girl superheroic status, but even when they touched those themes (two adolescent with superpowers were superbitching them both) that wasn’t exactly the thing I was trying to remember. And then I got it: A superhero that was chosen goes holier than you to a badass normal? Check. That Badass normal only answer: A punch! The infamous scene of Batman vs Guy Gardner! This was so great! And yet so logic! Why would you assume someone who doesn’t give you her cell number is going to help you when you need her? Genial take! Good work! |
