Post Blaise Montoya -The Price of Power-#17
PALAU, SECRET SAFEHOUSE — 4:12 AM

The room was a low-lux vacuum, illuminated only by the harsh, surgical glow of a single desk lamp. Blaise sat motionless at the center of the chaos, her face a map of systemic exhaustion and tactical resolve.

Spread across the room was a mosaic of intelligence: high-resolution satellite imagery of the archipelago, encrypted financial ledgers, and tide-marked shipping manifests stolen from the deep-water ports. Every document represented a blood-price paid in full.

Gideon materialized from the shadows, his footfalls silent on the concrete floor.

"You haven’t slept." he observed, his voice a low rasp.

"I don’t need sleep. I need Draavos broken." Blaise replied, not looking up.

"Then tell me the plan." Gideon studied her, noting the tremor in her hands and the unwavering intensity in her gaze. He saw the intersection of desperation and brilliance.

Moments Later the team had convened in the TOC, the air thick with the ozone scent of electronics and gun oil.

Nix was hunched over a triad of ruggedized laptops, his fingers dancing across the keys while his breathing remained shallow, 'the telltale sign of a looming panic attack suppressed by sheer technical focus. Beside him, Briggs was methodically prepping his kit, sliding magazines into a customized HK416 with the rhythmic precision of a man preparing for a total war scenario.

Elara stood apart from the rest, a silhouette of lethal elegance, her posture perfectly composed. Pembroke remained a silent sentinel, his expression a complex mixture of paternal pride and a deep, lingering guilt.

"Draavos controls Palau through three pillars: Money. Influence. Fear... Tonight, we take all three." Blaise briefed, her voice cutting through the room.

Nix raised a hand, his voice trembling slightly.

"Just to clarify...when you say ‘take,’ do you mean ‘steal’ ‘destroy,’ or ‘explode’?

"Yes" Blaise didn't blink.
