"This little game is over."
Crixx fired. The gunshot *CRACKED* in the confined space, deafening, echoing off the concrete walls. A slug whizzed past her ear, embedding itself in the wall behind her with a *THWUMP*.
More thugs, alerted by the gunfire, streamed into the bunker from a hidden door she hadn't noticed beforeThe bunker, once a silent vault, became a cacophony of heavy footsteps, grunts, and the distant thrum of the fete above.
"Get her!" Crixx bellowed, his voice hoarse. "Don't let her leave this vault!"
Tiger Cat launched herself from behind the crates, a whirlwind of motion. She grabbed the pipe from one thug’s hand, twisting it free with a sharp yank. The man stumbled, his eyes wide with shock. She used the pipe as a lever, sweeping his legs out from under him. He landed with a bone-jarring *THUD*.
She spun, the pipe whistling through the air, deflecting a blow from the wooden club. The impact sent a jolt up her arm, but she held firm.
Her ebony fists, now stained with grime from the concrete, danced. She parried, dodged, and struck, each blow precise, calculated. A sharp jab to a solar plexus, a quick elbow to a temple. One thug, clutching his gut, doubled over, gasping for air. Another, dazed, leaned against a steel table, his eyes unfocused.
She noticed a narrow ventilation shaft near the ceiling, barely large enough for a person. A possible escape route. But she needed time...
