But the question is if she'll be able to leave that terror behind and come back to the real world or she'll perish on the way...

As the good doctor escaped his own machine and wanted righteous vengeance against the reporter Miss Sanders, I couldn’t think that this was very convenient: yes, she was vulnerable in the chopter, so he could launch the missiles.
