You’re touching one of my favorite themes: The damsel in distress is taken to the “reprogramming” facility, and the villain gloats how she cannot escape and how she will enjoy her time there!

So, instead of exploring all the clichés, I would like to talk about the nanomachines that let Belinda’s reprogramming being so insidious: she has not any chance, and maybe in Real Life, next generations would have to trust great corporations not only with information about his health, but with his very bodies.

A terrible tought, but it can be real. And that makes your work extra interesting.

I've been playing with something along these lines for some time, but I didn't have a solid back story to anchor it to. Anything else would have been very shallow and too similar to other stories of the mind control genre.

The truly frightening part of this idea is that there is no mind control. The body is what is being manipulated. The character(s) subjected to this would be prisoners in their own skin, helpless to do anything. And they would have to experience everything in total silence if that was the wish of the party controlling the process. A work of pure evil.

But we're going to take a hard turn in the next chapter. This is the last we'll see of Belinda for now. Hope you hang around for our next section of the story!

Well, you’re right, the manipulation of the body is a hellish idea, but the really horrible thing is to think that this could be true in some near future. And even with that, you managed to expose it in a sexy way!

There are several possible explanations for this turn of events.

My favorite and the one I'm sticking with is that this tower was seized by Roland's corporation in a hostile takeover some 35 years from now. Scar City Chronicles is set in the future, after all. I'd give you Sentech's legal department's contact information, but they're not around yet...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
