What did Doctor Metz just say? Were we just dreaming or did he say he wants Juno Viroy to stop Roland?!? There's never a dull moment in Scar City!

This time, we find out exactly what Doctor Metz has in mind, and it isn't going to be easy for anyone. The good doctor makes his case to Viroy and he seems to have her full attention. What will our heroine do? Is she convinced of the sincerity of his goals?

Dear Max and Mitru:

This last issue was great! Mitru’s art is great, yes, but this time it takes second seat to your writing Max, you have created a magnificent villain with Doc Metz.

First of all, he manages to put the blame of Roland going insane and acquiring so much power on Dr. Viroy. That was incredible! He convinces her that she created Roland (did she really convinced her?) and then asks her to stop him.

Your idea of an human interface (literally) that formed a neural net with… everything electronic, is very interesting. Then he has a hive mind that permits him to control everyone connected. Is he like, Sauron of the Lord of the Rings?

The point is that he can coordinate every evil creature (like Sauron. Sauron even was compared with an Ant Queen) and so can destroy a lot in his wake, but the only thing that he desires is revenge against Doc Vilroy. Cool.

But then, if Roland is doomed (as Dr. Metz admits to himself) why he wishes to him to be stopped?

I am anxious to see next issue.

I'm glad you have done such a deep read of the plot at this point. That was the goal of this section of the story, after all.

We really don't know if we should take Dr. Metz at his word. Is he really as afraid of Roland/Don Shelle as he lets on? Is Don Shelle that unstable?

The short answer is read on. You will learn more about how depraved Roland is beginning today. This next story arc beginning today will give you a clue about what he is and what he potentially can become. The worst has yet to come!
