As we all learned in the last installment, Whiplash had managed to coordinate a unified assault on all of Sentech's key resources. And had freed his targeted victims on the road to victory. How will Axphyx confront Ricochet? You know the answer to that. Read on!

Dear Max and Mitru:

Scar city # 43 would have been everything I was expecting for a long, long time… if you have keep the initial characterization of a terrible minion who thought she was invincible (and had some clues that indicated maybe she was).

But given your characterization as an human being, I didn’t feel the catharsis I thought I will get from seeing her utterly defeated… I am not complaining here, just telling you how I feel, please don’t see this as a critic.

I suppose that Axphyx's change lies in a fear emotion... everything is collapsing around her and her enemies are winning at first time.

As my Sith Master told to me... everybody feels the fear, the quesion it's the way you use it my apprentice... It can be kill you or it can make you more powerful.

(That's my freak side... I'm sorry )

But I don't know really... perhaps Max can be give you a better answer than mine one.

If you look back as she left her last encounter with Don Shelle in his office, you may note an expression of doubt on Axphyx's face after he blew up when confronted with his empire being ruined.

Axphyx, like Roland, needs the illusion of control to keep their stability intact. Once she witnessed that his vaunted superiority was failing, doubt seeped into her mind. She doubted her abilities. And worst of all, she feared what she could have become had Doctor Metz had finalized his plans to upgrade her abilities. In short, Axphyx was shaken to her core like never before.

Thus, her mind was ill prepared for the confrontation with Ricochet. Where she had been able to bluff her way through all her other fights or rely on some support from Sentech security, this time she had to fight on level ground. Which, by the way, was not really level given that Ricochet had accepted a bit of 'enhancement' from Doctor Viroy that enabled her targeting systems to select more effective means of disabling an enemy.

Hope this clears up the details.
