Post Graphic experimentation - what do you think about these?
Dear Reader,

When I render images for The Platinum Earth, I take them through some post-processing. What I get out of Poser 7 is not what you see. The most important post work I do is to brighten the images and give them more definition. Recently, I've taken some images through some artistic filters available from third party programs.

One filter I like is called "acrylic comic". What I've done is I've taken my current free story "Crystal" and run it through this filter. It can be compared to the original comic that is in the "Tales from the Platinum Earth" folder. The filtered images have been uploaded here to view:

I think this filter has pros and cons. One con is you lose some of the finer detail but one pro is that fine lines are given much more definition. Depending on your taste, the look of the comic is clearly Poser 3D rendering but it also touches back to a graphic novel feel as well.

So, what do you think about this filter?

I prefer the original artwork, myself. The acrylic format looks cool, but it fuzzes out some of the detail of the original. I'm a detail oriented guy, so I have to cast a respectful "nay". Thanks for asking. :)
