Since the disappearance of his top employees Kim Parmasar and Johnny Chan...the veteran newsman was using whatever resources were at his disposal to find out what had happened to them. Also of concern to him was the mysterious absence of Ocelot Woman from the front line in the war against Guyana's criminal elements. Crimes had been taking place over the last couple of days but at no time did she appear to thwart the criminals..leaving that task to Guyana's Police Force. Bruce's experience as a journalist told him these seemingly unconnected events were somehow intricately linked together.

Using his sources..Bruce had discovered a series of large cash purchases made by Wilkins Holdings through offshore banks which did business with its partner in the Silver Bullet express train project...Japan Railways Group. The purchases amounted to millions of US dollars and involved the acquisition of several pieces of high-tech computer software and hardware as well as medical equipment and supplies. Of particular interest to Bruce was the large supply of chloroform amongst the legal drugs which formed part of the shipment.

Talk in Guyana's underworld was that Ocelot Woman had some sort of special vulnerability to chloroform and this drug was guaranteed to knock her out every time. Bruce also got invoices from his contacts on the docks of the capital city. The equipment arrived in the country in pieces which were then spread out to various centres for distribution. However the final destination of all this equipment remained a mystery. "Everything seems legal on the surface..nothing to go to the authorities about..."thought Bruce. He has also been in contact with Detective Karl Misawa on the side. "Misawa's been unable to lift the shroud over the Silver Bullet probe...All of this points to something very sinister which I fear has targeted Kim, Johnny and even Ocelot Woman.." thought Bruce.
