Project supervisor...Englishman Bill Carver..stood on the landing pad..
watching the helicopter and..waiting as the rotors died down to greet a special trio of guests he had been waiting for.

"This will be great Britney..Daddy's promised to give us a full tour of the mining operations while we're here.." said Tina excitedly as they walked towards her father's bungalow on the base camp. From what Tina told her..many of them were here in the jungle for weeks at a time..and there were no women on the camp. "I'll admit that on the surface of things...business is good for Guyana Goldfields...production seems to be up..as well as profits...especially on its prized Aurora Mine Project.." replied Kim as Johnny sat down next to her while she typed her story. "Something tells me you've found something in those documents which suggests that dispells that image at Guyana Goldfields.." said Johnny in a lower tone of voice. "It's not very obvious..but the yield from some of the company's mining operations have fallen off..but not large enough to set off any alarms...close to the Aurora Project..." whispered Kim as Johnny took a second look at the documents before them.

"The Venezuelan border isn't too far away...Somebody could be illegally mining gold and selling it on the black market to make a killing...Could this be an inside job?" asked Johnny.
"It's possible Johnny...and if there is any illegal gold mining taking place...the chemicals used by the miners could pollute the water supplies of some small Amerindian communities along the Cuyuni River..." replied Kim. "We'll need proof to show that these irregularities in Guyana Goldfield 's books are in fact due to criminal activity...Since it seems to be connected to the Aurora Mine Project...I can look into the company's operations right here in Georgetown...and try to see whether I can get inside the Aurora Camp.." offered Johnny. "While you're doing that...I'll change into Ocelot Woman and search for some of the sites where this mining could be taking place..." replied Kim with a smile and steely glow in her brown eyes.

did they know that other plans were being made..at the corporate offices of Guyana Goldfields Inc located in the northeastern part of Georgetown. "What are their plans? asked Hunt. "He's taking them along the trail to see some of the mining operations tomorrow.." replied his associate over the airwaves. "As much as we try to cover it...there's always the chance that our operations could be exposed...See to it that
Mr Carver has..an accident and goes missing along with those kids...that will give us enough time to get all the gold we need and then disappear before anyone knows what has happened" resolved Hunt as he ended the transmission. "By the time anyone finds out what's happened..I will be long gone from Guyana..with its precious gold and very, very rich" thought the corrupt chairman to himself.

Cuyuni River, south-western Guyana. 9 pm.

High above the thick canopy of the dense jungles below..concealed amongst the clouds..a sleek, spotted jet aircraft followed the course of the river as its pilot searched for signs of illegal mining activity. The plane was none other than the Oce Jet..and its pilot was equally well known for her exploits against the forces of evil and injustice in Guyana.
