Post subject:  looking for artists...

Hey,

I wrote a script for a heroine comic series and am looking for artists to turn it into a comic book.

I am doing this for my personal pleasure and not for any commercial value. I already contacted one comic artist but they are asking for over 100$ dollars a page. Can anyone suggest to me something a lot less expensive? I usually order custom superheroine videos for 500$, so maybe a 15-20 page comic for the same price?

I have pasted the story below for all to see:

DESERT - DAY
Opens on Shayla in x shaped leather strap top covering her chest, dragging her naked bleeding feet through a harsh desert climate.
Predator birds fly overhead. Shayla mumbles some ancient prayer to the goddess, nearing exhaustion. Sweat trickles her forehead, falls into her eyes, making them sting.
Pushing into her eye, we can see the reflection of one of the predator birds.
Next frame we see Shayla, now collapsed to the desert floor, and the predator bird towers over her. Gradually, the bird starts to attack Shayla who is too weak to resist. SHAYLA TRIES TO COVER HER FACE, HOWEVER THE BIRD JUST PECKS AWAY AT HER arms and then its beak goes for her eyeball, plucking it out of the socket!
DARK CHAMBER:
Then, we cut to find ourselves in the dark torture chambers of the Sisterhood of The Black Plague. Shayla, in the same torture outfit, hangs suspended on an x-shaped torture rack, her arms and legs strapped tight as a machine is fitted over her head. Blood Bath is operating the machine, as the instrument whirs and penetrates her eye, blinding her.

(SCREAMS)
THE VILLAINESS BLOOD BATH APPROACHES HER, BUT SHAYLA IS IN SUCH AGONY SHE DOES NOT REALISE WHAT SHE IS FACING ANYMORE.
BLOOD BATH

SHAYLA SHIVERS IN TEARS

BLOOD BATH GRABS SHAYLA BY THE NECK NOW AND RIPS HER OFF THE TORTURE BOARD
NOW BLOOD BATH HOLDS SHAYLA UP BY THE NECK AND LIFTS HER IN THE AIR. BLOOD BATH'S RAZOR SHARP TEETH ARE EXPOSES IN A WIDE SNARL.
BLOOD BATH FLICKS SHAYLA AGAINST THE CORNER, WHERE SHE CRUMPLES TO THE GROUND, FOLDING AGAINST HERSELF.
BLOOD BATH WALKS OVER TO HER:
BLOOD BATH
GET UP!!! GET UP!!!!
SLOWLY, SHAYLA GETS UP ON WEEK KNEES. SHE STRUGGLES TO STAY UPRIGHT.
SHE COLLAPSES AGAINST BLOOD BATH, TRYING TO STAY STANDING.
SHAYLA'S HANDS GRASP AT BLOOD BATH'S FACE PLEADINGLY. WE CAN SEE SHAYLA'S NAILS ARE BROKEN, HER KNUCKLES BRUISED FROM THEIR PREVIOUS FIGHT.
SHAYLA'S HEAD LANDS TENDERLY AGAINST BLOOD BATH'S BREAST.
BLOOD BATH LOOKS....UNNERVED...ANGRY....AND STEPS AWAY FROM SHAYLA, WATCHES AS SHE FALLS TO THE GROUND
BLOOD BATH STOMPS AT SHAYLA'S STOMACH AND CHEST, HER BOOTS RISING AND FALLING, SPILLING OUT SHAYLA'S BLOOD.
BLOOD BATH PICKS SHAYLA UP BY THE HAIR AND STARTS SMASHING HER KNEE INTO SHAYLA'S FACE, BREAKING HER NOSE, GRADUALLY BLOODYING HER FACE.
SHE LETS GO OF SHAYLA. SHAYLA SQUIRMS LIKE A DOG ON THE GROUND....AND STARTS TO VOMIT...BLOOD EVERYWHERE....
BLOOD BATH PICKS SHALA UP ONCE AGAIN AND....
FLINGS HER AGAINST A GLASS PARTITION WE NOTICE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE ROOM...
IT'S A TWO WAY MIRROR...
CUT TO:
INT. OBSERVATION ROOM
TWO SILHOUETTED FIGURES WATCH SHAYLA SLIDE DOWN THE GLASS OF THE TWO WAY MIRROR, HER BLOODY FACE LEAVING A SLIDING MARK AGAINST IT...
IT IS THE TWO VILLAINESSES, CIRCA AND SHARPSHOCK, WATCHING THE ACTION WITH DEGREES OF PLEASURE.
THE SLAUGHTER CONTINUES UNABATED IN THE TORTURE ROOM AS THE TWO SISTERS CONFER.

Christina and Charles walk hand in hand in an upper scale part of Manhattan.
NARRATION

Christina watches Charles and hides her worry.

EXT. OPERA HOUSE
Christina and Charles now come upon the massive Opera House, where a crowd walks in for the show.
InT. opERA HOUSE
Christina and Charles are seated in the packed auditorium listening to an Opera.
Christina lets the music take her....
NARRATION
LET THE MUSIC TAKE YOU....THAT'S IT.
NARRATION
THE DISTRACTIONS OF THIS EVENING...THE HANGING UNCERTAINTY...
Christina closes her eyes as the song reaches a CRESCENDO....
CuT TO:
Int. christina's apartment
Christina and Charles are in a frenzy of undressing and kissing....
As they move from room to room in the house, articles of clothing falling about them....
Reaching the bedroom completely naked...
They have strong, passionate sex.....
ChRISTINA'S APARTMENT - mORNING
Chrristina wakes up slow...like out of a drugged haze...
She looks about her dresser....finds an empty martini glass...
She sits up in bed....looking sick....
NarRATION
WHAT THE HELL?

DIZZY...
NARRATION
CAN BARELY REMEMBER
Christina rubs her heavy head slowly.
She tries to rise on her feet but cannot.
She turns back in bed to face Charles...
Christina's eyes grow wide in horror!
NARRATION
CHARLES!!!!
A knife sticks out of Charles' chest.
Christina backs up out of bed and against the wall... her hand to her heart.
CHRISTINA'S APARTMENT - later
MEDEA CALYPSO, the Angels scientist, holds Christina's martini glass in her hand, moving it up against the light.
Medea opens her leather tool case and produces a strip from it. She places the strip on the edge of the glass, then takes the strip and adds it to a chemical solution.
Within seconds, Medea's eyes read the invisible solution:
Medea
THIS IS FENELMETHOCHLORIDE.
The two other sisters in the room, STARLA and VENUS, turn towards Medea as she proclaims this.
NaRRATION
FENELMETHOCHLORIDE....A SUSBSTANCE AKIN TO A DATE r@?3* DRUG THAT AFFECTS THE ANGELS....
STARLA
ONLY "THE PLAGUE" CAN MAKE THIS...
MEDEA
WELL THEN NOT SURPRISING, IS IT?
CHRISTINA, A.K.A. GODDESS Z., TURNS TO HER SISTERS.
Christina has covered her nakedness with a silk nightrobe.
CHRISTINA STYLES
THE HELL! WHY?
The others turn to Christina
ChRISTINA STYLES
WHY NOT JUST TAKE ME?
She looks down at Charles' body....
NaRRATION
MURDERED? FOR WHAT?
CHRISTINA STYLES
WHY DID THEY DO THIS TO CHARLES????
Christina steps out onto the patio of her penthouse suite overlooking the glassy city of New York.
NaRRATION
SHE FIGHTS THE PAIN OF LOSS...
Tears stream down her face.
Starla and Venus join Christina to comfort her.
Behind them MEDEA continues her work.
MEDEA slips the knife from CHARLES' chest and studies the ancient symbols on it.
She calls to them
MeDEA
THIS KNIFE. THE SYMBOLS ON IT DATE TO THE FIRST PASSION WARS....
NARRATION
THE FIRST PASSION WARS. FOUGHT BETWEEN THE SISTERS OF THE BLACK PLAGUE AND THE ANDORRAN ANGELS WHEN THE ANGELS WERE FIRST CHALLENGED FOR PLANETARY SUPREMACY...
NARRATION
THE PLAGUE WOULD ATTEMPT TO OVERTHROW THE SISTERS...TO REMOVE WHAT THEY SAW AS A "SOFT VISION" OF THE FUTURE...TO INSTATE A MORE TOTALITARIAN SYSTEM.
NARRATION
IT DIDN'T WORK. THE BLACK PLAGUE WERE BANISHED TO THE NETHER DARKNESS OF SCILIUS, THE COLD PLANET.
The Angels gather round the knife being held by Medea.
VENUS
WHO LAST CONTROLLED THE KNIFE?
STARLA
IT IS SOMETHING OF A MYSTERY...
MEDEA
SISTERS, YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN YOUR HISTORY.
CHRISTINA STYLES
(behind them)
OH, WE CAN REFRESH OUR MEMORIES.
She snatches the knife from Medea. HER EYES ARE DRY NOW. SHARP. CALCULATING.
ChRISTINA STYLES
(holding the knife up to her eyes)
LET'S GO TO BASE AND LOOK AT THE ARCHIVES. I WANT THIS MURDERER AND I WANT ANSWERS....
CuT TO:
Int. dark chamber
CIRCA AND SHARPSHOCK CONTINUE TO WATCH THE TORTURE ON SHAYLA FROM THE GLASS DIVIDER.
BLOOD BATH pounds and breaks SHAYLA'S bones as Shayla's shrill SCREAMS fill the room.
Sharpshock picks up a microphone.
Her voice BOOMS into the other room. Bloodbath listens to her insructions.
SHARPSHOCK
BRING HER TO THE RACK. TWENTY WHIPPINGS ON THE BASE OF THE FEET AND THEN NAIL HER SOLES.
SHARPSHOCK
WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH THIS SECURE HER FOR SENSORY DEPRIVATION.
BLOODBATH smiles brutishly as her face comes closer, closer to poor Shayla....
And all is BLACK.
CUT TO:
DARK CHAMBER - LATER
Shayla's exposed bare feet lie braced on a wooden slab.
From this position she can watch her feet suspended above her head as Bloodbath brings a spiked paddle and begins to whip the soles of her feet.
Shayla's face contorts and her eyes well up with pain as BLOODBATH counts up the whippings...
ONE. TWO. THREE. FOUR.
SHAYLA SCREAMS IN THE AIR.
When twenty whippings are done, Bloodbath releases Shayla's feet from the wooden plank as her legs collapse over her.
Bloodbath then holds Shayla's feet up and pounds an electronic device into her soles.
ShaYLA
NO!!! WAIT PLEASE PLEASE!!!!! ARGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Shayla screams in more agony.
Bloodbath watches Shayla collapse again.
BLOOD BATH
GET UP! GET UP AND WALK!!!!
Shayla walks like a broken doll across the room. Electronic surges blast through her from the base of her feet.
Her eyes start to bleed.... then her nose....
NaRRATION
I....AM.....DONE. I....AM....GOING...TO...DIE....HERE.
Shayla's knees buckle. She.....falls...slow.... like a broken doll.
Bloodbath drags Shayla by the hair and sets her up once more on the torture rack.
A robotic machine WHIRS to life from the ceiling and stops right above Shayla's head...
Bloodbath grabs Shayla's head from behind and forces her head into the contraption of the machine...
The machine whirrs and snaps shut on Shayla's head.
Shayla is breathing heavy and in panic.
The machine begins it's work by rotating burning bright lights and distorted imagery of slaughtered heroines.
Shayla begins to SCREAM!
Bloodbath is salivating behind her.
Shayla is inundated with hours upon hours of bright lights and violent imagery.
Her body shakes in the restraints.
ShARPSHOCK
"Bloodbath. Exit to the chambers please."
Bloodbath walks out the sliding doors of the dark room.
The doors close behind her to Shayla's screams.
CUT TO:
Ext. Establishing shot - angels safe house.
Int. Angels safe house
The three sisters, Venus, Starla, and Goddess Z(now in uniform) surrounding Medea on a mainframe.
Some more Angels in customary officer uniforms come to assist them with research on the sword.
MEDEA types info on the computer.
MEDEA
According to archives, the knife we hold was lost somewhere after the first passion wars were fought... but it is suspected that the knife fell into the hands of MAJESTICA MALCOSA... she may have acquired it from the former owner, according to auction records....
VeNUS
Majestica Malcosa....
Goddess z
ALSO KNOWN AS BLOOD BATH.
NARRATION
GODDESS Z HOLDS HER RAGE...BUT HER EYES NEVER BETRAY IT....AND THE SISTERS CAN FEEL IT IN HER...
StaRLA
WHAT DID BLOOD BATH WANT WITH KILLING CHARLES???
GODDESS Z
WELL, I'M DAMNED IF I'M WAITING FOR AN ANSWER!!!
VENUS
CHRISTINA....
STARLA
CHRISTINA... YOU KNOW INSTRUCTIONS ARE TO APPROACH WITH CAUTION...
GODDESS Z
WHO THE FUCK IS INSTRUCTING US???
VENUS
CHRISTINA... PLEASE DON'T THROW DOUBT ON THE QUEEN MOTHER'S DECISIONS... NOT IN THIS TIME...
GODDESS Z
THE QUEEN MOTHER IS FAILING THIS FIGHT!!! LET HER SHOW HERSELF!!!
STARLA
(touches her shoulder)
GODDESS Z... I AM TRULY SORRY FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO CHARLES... BUT DON'T YOU SEE THIS IS A BAD SIGN? THERE IS A FEELING OF ENTRAPMENT PERMEATING HERE.... OUR SISTERS ARE FALLING INTO.... I MEAN, THINK ON IT.... WHAT WOULD CHARLES HAVE TO DO WITH THE PLAGUE...?
Something snaps in Goddess. She strikes a sharp slap against Starla's face, who swings out against the mainframe computers.
Goddess is about to attack again when she is held back by VENUS and MEDEA.
Starla turns around slowly, pityingly....
Goddess' rage turns to pain. Tears fall again.
Starla approaches Goddess Z and places a tender hand against her cheek...
StARLA
OH CHRISTINA.... DON'T LET THE LOSS BLIND YOU....
But Goddess Z just tears away from them and storms out of the room.
CuT TO:
ChrISTINA'S APARTMENT - niGHT
Christina finishes her shower and walks into the bedroom. She stares out the glass window.
NaRRATION
LOOKING INTO THE ROOM... TO THE BED... JUST YESTERDAY... HIS WARMTH HAS LEFT THE PLACE... YET THE PAIN OF HIS LOSS... IS HOT TO THE TOUCH...
Christina stares at the darkness surrounding the room.
She notices a light glowing from the dresser drawer...
Christina opens the drower and we see the knife inside it, glowing at the centerpiece of the inscriptions on it...
She must have taken the knife before storming out of the hideout...
Christina slowly, reluctantly holds the knife up... it's white glow washing over her face
Her eyes light up with the glow...
Her mouth falls open as she is taken over by something!
