Post Super Heroine Central (SHC)
On the average, SHC has much more explicit content (blood, for--d sex, overall violence) then we do here at HIPComix. I'm not saying that's good or bad, it's just an observation. Is this something the members would like to see more of here at HIP, or are we at the right levels of this sort of content?

I'm honestly not much into squick, i prefer my heroine peril aon the clean side.

Take MR X for instance. I love his artwork, Miss Americana is just fantastic. But sometimes his tentacle stuff really makes my tongue stick and go Yukk and that isn't even violence.

Bottom line I like my heroines Captured, played with, raped, mind controlled, knocked out, chloroformed, gassed. But I really don'e want to see them beaten half to death.

Mind you if the story is good enough plot wise and the violence in itself is a means rather than an end i reserve the right to do a complete U Turn :D

I think the artists at SHC are great. I'm a member :D

The Wizard's Lair is a fantastic free forum! All kinds of content.

Funny that simple storylines should be mentioned here; I just had some members ask for more sex and less plotting on comics.

It would be great to hear folks express what they most want to see in erotic comics.

The wizards lair is at the top of it's game. the webmaster there deserves a great big medal for what he has acheived there.

Having more sex and less story in the comics is all very well but once you reach that point it just becomes poser porn and there is just masses of the stuff out there already.

This site is primarily for superheroine fetish. sure I like to see the costume off and some nice hot action but it sis important to me to know why they are there, how it hapenned. The most important bit for me is the capture and (hint hint) any mind control aspects. also i do need a nice evil villain to put things into context.

They have some advantages in that they have a very broad lineup of regular artists who bring a wide array of styles and skills to the content they host. I've been a fan of Smudge's art for several years.

Obviously I am going to be biased toward HIPComix so I will keep any comparisons to myself. I will say that their art is fantastic, and a couple of their artists have an affinity for buxom heroines in devious laboratory scenes that always tickles my fancy.

It's always fine line with the content, I guess...you are never going to please everyone.

True. Though I don't think this site is about pleasing everyone. It's about creating quality heroine peril, something which it does very well. This is a niche market and making things too generic and samey would in my opinion take away one of the sites strengths.

That's an excellent point. I think if the time ever came that writing these stories became a 'job' instead of a 'hobby' then I'd have to hang it up. I don't ever want to look upon the site as 'work'. As long as it remains fun, there should never be a limit to the creativity or imagination of this site.

It's nice to know that our fetish is large enough to encompass a number of successful sites, and that while not everyone will be pleased by everything, there is at least something out there for everyone.

Personally, I'm a soft-core boy at heart, and while I admire the high quality of material at Superheroine Central, I'm with some of the other people on the list — the violence and squickiness is a big turn off. My fantasies aren't about inflicting pain, but exercising control… which is why I much prefer the content on this site and others like it. But I'm glad SHC can cater to that crowd and I'm glad they've found success with it.

Doc Robo and I are very close in terms of our interests, so the stories he's written — given wonderful images by Fin asnd Uroboros — are the big reason I'm at this site. It's nice to see other variations explored, though, and the number of stories available is a good sign that this site can deliver a suitable diversity for different tastes.

PS: I'm a big fan of the Wizard's Lair, too — particularly Raven's work, which brings a refreshingly fun, naughty, tongue-in-cheek atitude to the material that you can't find anywhere else.

I couldn't have said it better myself. It's nice that there is something out there for everyone, and of course competition (if you want to call it that) shoudl only serve to improve the product for all involved... writers, artists, and readers alike. There's a reason that we all come here, because we're all into many of the same things. Hopefully we can continue at the same level of quality and give people a reason to come back for a long time to come.

Post re: hipcomix
Hello. I've been a member of both SHC and Hipcomix.

Personally, I prefer HIPCOMIX.

The difference between the two sitres, imho, is the following:

SHC is porn site that uses superheroines as props for porn. They start with the general porn concept and then shoehorn superheroines on for the kink factor.

HIPCOMIX is about superheroines as erotic objects of fantasy. People find the concept of superheroines in peril sexy, so they then depict erotic scenes and actual sex around the kink. Here the kink comes first.

To be sure, one reason I like HIPCOMIX has to do with my preference for MC stuff. But I also prefer the stories more and the handling of other fetish elements more-such as DID, general BDSM, S&M. I have no problem with extended explicit sex scenes at all or fight scenes, but the problem with SHC is that the scenes are terribly repititious.

The emphasis on SHC tends to be more blunt straightforward r@?3* and kicking the crap out of overwhelmingly blonde bimbo superheroines scenes, with some milking scenes thrown in for flavor. Nothing wrong with those as an element to a story at all by any means whatsoever, but that is ALL there is to SHC, imho. Here there is more BDSM, more complex S&M scenes, and control and domination of superheroines. There is no real seduction element at SHC either, imho, and the peril aspect and settings get underplayed or are underdeveloped and lacking in sophistication.

I also think the poser models presented at HIPCOMIX are sexier-Mr. X, Nightwing, and Briearos (my favorite) are good, but their models are not as beautiful, imho.

My favorite artists were Duece, Briaeros, and Nightwing 316, but even they don't measure up to HIP comix, inmho.

Thanks for the appreciation. All of the creators at
hip are dedicated to telling 'stories'. If you like what you see here at hip, it's great to compliment the artists and writers, but the reason we are all free to create our stories here is because of JPEGER!

HIP is the only site that i know of that places no
editorial requirements on the creators. That's why our readers are treated to the incredible variety in
these pages. Besides the wonderful mind-control tales of the good doctor and company, we are able to enjoy the swashbuckling tales of Dose, the Magical adventures created by Sturk, the amazing stories of
Uroboros' Inner Universe and all the rest of us.

It is because of JPEGER's dedication to the site that
these tales are able to reach our readers. There are
other sites out there, but only Hip provides the variety and enormous volume of material on a regular basis.

JPEGER IS DA MAN !

As a writer, I have a hard time with the repetition of the stories used over at SHC.

It is kind of like eating steak every day for a month. The first meal is nice, then you get bored by the end of the first week. Then you're sick of it by the end of the month. No matter how good the artwork is, you'll wind up ignoring the images because the story has nothing left to surprise or entertain the reader.

I can't write that way. If I'm not interested or connected to the plot, I know my readers aren't enjoying the stories.

I'm glad that our readers care about the quality of our storytelling. And I'm glad people like Jpeger are willing to promote such quality projects as you see here on HIPComix.

I just want to take a second to publicly thank Jpeger (as owner) and the talented artists here at HIPComix for allowing someone like me as a writer to have an impact on the site's storylines. There aren't many mind control photostories out there, certainly even fewer with superheroines as the protagonists. I am grateful to get the chance to make my ideas a reality. I can't speak for Max but I know that I do not have the patience nor the skill to render pics of the top notch quality that you find on this site. So, I must enlist artist collaborators to help bring my ideas to the screen. It's a different animal for an artist to have to render according to someone else's vision as opposed to his own. It can be a blessing and a curse. On one hand you have two minds brainstorming ideas and double checking every detail to make sure the comics are the best they can be. On the other hand you might get two wildly divergent ideas on how the comic should play out. Fortunately the guys here are all true professionals and all work toward a common goal, and it shows in the finished product.

I prefer the less raunchy nature of HIP Comix.
