Gee...I can't imagine who they would be jealous over (yeah right). Given both of their love interests, i would speculate that if it involves them, this would be incredibly complicated...and fun!

On the heels of "Superheroine Squad", the amazonian android known as Mechana has become a member of Metrobay's famous crimefighting team after being rescued from the evil clutches of APEX Laboratories. Even though she is now on the side of good, her noble intentions are still mistrusted by some teammates, particularly her former nemesis Valient Grrl.

Late one night the two buxom brunettes find themselves alone in the gym and decide to settle their feud once and for all. In the heat of battle something happens to both of them which makes them forget their fight altogether and concentrate on a less violent display of physical prowess. So what happens when two sexy, headstrong, erotically charged heroines get together with only one thing on their minds? Oh boy...

Okay, those who know me know I'm a passionate Valient Grrl fan. I also happen to be rather fond of Mechana. I've also been toting a Valient Grrl vs. Mechana grudge match for a long time now.

So, what do I think?

It's a little slice of heaven. Nothing truly unexpected, but executed flawlessly.

From the opening page, we get a little taste of why I like Valient Grrl so much. She's a statuesque Amazonian bombshell and fiery powerhouse with a body so fit and firm it makes Jessica Alba look flabby. It's the little details in the story, though, that make her such a compelling character from a story perspective. It speaks a lot about her work ethic and her attitude towards her own genetic powers.

Mechana, on the other hand, has quickly and pleasantly evolved from mindless big-girl submissive to a rather fiesty and, dare I say, kinda bitchy woman bursting with emotions and personality. And a lot of that comes from Valient Grrl, only without the human experience and interaction to teach her to keep some of her own opinions and feelings in check. Needless to say, I love her for it. The way she taunts her fellow teammate and goads her into a confrontation is pliable, effective, and believable.

And on to the fight itself... Doc tends to shy away from the actual violence, which is good for most of the time (I really don't need to see women beating up other women to get turned on), but this time is different, and like the few actions scenes before, they're well done, especially for a comic book medium. Camera shots are effective, actions are evenly distributed, and the pace is frentic and fast. The quasi "ring announcer" narrations weren't bad either.

Which gets us to the next "battle for supremacy"; love, sweet love. I was surprised just who it was who made the first move, but the two unlikely lovers proved that their combined superhuman sex affair is a match made in heaven and really does believably make you wonder just who the most sexually adapt woman is... an odd but likeable battle within the battle.

Which brings us to the ending, which seems to raise a few questions about just what happened and what's going to happen... as well as force a very painful wait for the next installment.

Overall, excellent, through and through. While newcomers may not get much out of it (and if you're new, go read the past 10,000 pages of previous material), those fans who saw and wanted a true Valient Grrl vs. Mechana stand/sex off since Project Metropolis finally get it, and it was worth the wait. Not only that, it's arguably the best action sequence in the franchise yet.

Not sure if that was a workout top and bottom more like casual bra and panties which I like. :twisted:

This is a crazy update. No other way to put it.
The fight with Mechana and Shelley makes me wonder what happens when the immovable object meets the unstoppable force. Hope to find out soon, but with no cheating. LOL
I also love the fact that a certain character has been getting a lot of play lately and is now involved with the story and the new character looks insanely awesome as well.
Great job as always on the drawings Fin and Doc, this one's plot twists have set up what looks like a wild and crazy ride to the finish. My anticiaption is peaked beyond all peakage to see the rest unfold.

Now seeing the first chapter of the episode "Tough Love" I find myself agreeing with how Akonkid put it.

My only input is to say that they both have the same strength, but each has different aspects that could change or counter the balance of the of the fight. VG has the human spontaneity and experience, while Mech, being a machine would be more calculating and precise. I think in the end, VG's agility and experience is greater but her ability to absorb the blows that Mech sends her way is lesser.

In this episode, it looks like Mech's humanness has interfered with her precise and calculating action, else she would have finished VG when she had her down. Awesome job on transitioning over the fight to the distraction of sexual attraction. Sexual attraction can be a distraction for anybody, just look at me, I'm now distracted from finishing my work for tomorrow after seeing these new panels.

Also, the last panel has really peeked my curiosity. I sense another magnificant Doc Robo vice of story-telling approaching.

Er, I'm pretty sure Mechana's wearing a strap-on.... and if she did, I'm sure it would only be harmless nanoprobes or something.

... though I do smile at the thought of Valient Grrl trying to explain to Alpha Woman how she got knocked up with Mechana's love child. :P

I always assumed it was a snap-on accessory. I know Sentius' Controlunits and Slaveunits could form artificial ones, but I don't think any genetic information was passed on.

Mechana is, as I liked to say, just a "really big vibrator." :P

Akonkid pretty much has it right. Mechana's little add-on is just another option for her to fulfill her program. Unlike Sentius, there is no other use for that little device. Sorry.
