I'm trying to learn how to draw. Its going slower than a snails pace.
I'm putting them here if anyone wants a good laugh. :)

I like the artwork you do, and I enjoyed the American Amazon (Freedom Broad) story.

I think "draw" is maybe not the right verb for making images with Poser, since it's more like photography than drawing. I tried drawing my own comic characters in the past and was never happy with the results. On the other hand with Poser I'm often amazed at the cool images I can make. That has at least as much to do with the Poser designers and the 3D artists that make the models as it does with any talent I have.

Finister did the artwork for the Freedom Broad story. Now I'm trying to glean what I can of his expertise that he has, bit-by-bit, thrown out over the last year. My time is very limited and I'm taking it slow.

I use the term 'draw' because I'm an old AutoCAD guy. It should be 'draft' but must people never recognize something 'drafted' as finished product. I guess the the political correct (and more artsy) word would be 'compose'

whatever you call it...the name of the game is render, render, render. do lots, do hundreds of lots and experiment...use all the tools you can find...

the figure is just one element...there is so much more to comix production, but you have a great imagination and a desire to tell your own stories

the cg artists are great to look at, but it's the four color comic guys who have laid the foundation...

i've spent hours and hours with fellow creators deconstructing comics that we all love and admire...
the more you work in the medium, the more you get a handle on technique...

have fun, and enjoy the merry ride...

the journey is worth the price

aloha

Your renders of AA/FB looked like the ones from the comic so I thought you rendered both :) . Of course if you used the same figures that makes sense.

Is her bikini a part of her texture or is it a conforming figure? It looks like part of her texture. Just curious. I've only used conforming clothes so far.

Oh, and I completely agree with Timo. Just practicing will make you improve, and it's fun to do!

It's part of her texture. Fin calls it "2nd skin."

Fin showed me a few things that he did to make her. That's why they do look similar to his 'renderings'. :)

Wow! Nice start! Keep up the good work, Dumbtime. I've admired your stories, and now you're growing the rendering skills to match!
