Dear Uroboros: Legion of Superheroines # 37, “Aftershock” is now my favorite issue of my favorite comic from yours truly, and this is not mere hyperbole. First of all, Ariel is again my truly favorite supervillain, she is the Joker of this comic, if only for her devotion to real chaos: First a villain obsessed with Red Venus, then a heroine trying redemption? This is the craziest idea from a person whose ideas are really crazy. The line “I’ve overreacted a bit” could be the epitome of hypocrisy, and “I’ve found a new role model” is a line that Dark Justice, if she knew Tempest a little better, could fill her hearth with terror, but even that cannot compare with “I cant wait; my path to redemption” while offering her ass to Dark Justice… No really, Dark Justice really has some things to think here: Tempest is crazy, but is not stupid, when she said “I know how your work… capturing all those villains and giving them your own “Special” form of punishment. I can get into that!”. Tempest has a point: Justice must rethink her “Justice” approach: how much is Justice and how much petty revenge? The scenes where the lambda syndicate are “herding” their prisoners is so cool, and the ending was something that was suprising, but very obvious. Nyx always work this way! Great work! By the way, you wrote at page 548 “Come on… I know your how you work… I think the word “your” must be eliminated. And at page 551 “You are all now all the propierty” I think the second “all” must be eliminated. |
