Of all your work, this series is my favorite: I think superheroines are the ideal setting for kidnapping, bondage, costumes, death traps and all those fetishes. I also love your imagination and how you have integrated series like Mad Science and Dark Justice.
This series at last answer us the big question: What about Cyren’s ultimate plan to achieve perfection? At last, we see Red and Blue Venus heroic escape and Dahlia and Adrienne confrontation.
Here I have some “continuity” questions that all comic nerds indulge: In a past issue, Adrienne clearly remembers Dahlia, but at picture 409 Adrienne claims she doesn’t remember any life before being another lovely agent of Lambda Syndicate. So, how did she recognize Dahlia? And what about Yvette’s memory? Why Yvette call Adrienne “Misstress”? Did Yvette’s memory was not deleted? Not that there is a great difference between Yvette’s attitude before and after conversion to another Lambda Syndicate drone.
However, I think Dahlia’s characterization is great. It’s the first time since her presentation and infiltration of the LoSH headquarters that we see her in action. I think it would be only natural for her to act in her feelings for Adrienne… after all, she is a clone and I imagine she still retains all the memories of the original Dahlia… Notre Dame. The fact that she wants Adrienne all for herself is understable (after all, Yvette’s… unique qualities are not precisely endearing for a heartless villain, only for a very confused person like Adrienne).
The dark Venus clone is also interesting: Why is someone so powerful would perfectly obedient to Cyren and her henchwomen? Why Dahlia seems so eager to comply with Cyren? Certainly Nemesis had his doubts.
I think you can explore the theme of how Adrienne, powerful and ruthless as she is, incredibly efficient and capable as a scientist and as agent, is emotionally dependent of Yvette, whom, if she has any quality, is her complete devotion to Adrienne. If I were a supervillain, I would have Yvette kidnapped and used as bargain to get Adrienne doing every desire I would have.
I must say that the thing I love the most is the suspense: What is exactly the reason for that Red Venus was so surprised after seeing Cyren? Has Cyren really succeded, or she is an abomination? As Diamond2328 y sohta123 said, I can’t wait to see the next cover.
