When we last left Amy, she was being held prisoner by the inscrutable witch queen, Mara, at Shadax's old fortress. The years at the castle have not been good to Mara, as she seems quite insane, but managed to overthrow the evil Hela and is involved war with Hela's sisters. Not with Amy in her clutches, Mara strips her and orders that it is she who must execute her rival under the repeated blows of the lash! IF Amy refuses, then she takes Hela's place; but the good hearted heroine has her doubts....
