Hi there!

I hope this guy is saying his monologue in front of a camera and then he sends the video to the Gimnast to scare her, because if not, he is already crazy

Or maybe only a genre savvy villain who really likes his own voice's sound?

Yes, Stern is "breaking the fourth wall." That's an established technique.

He he he I have read “Stern returns” # 1 and boy, supervillains and superhéroes are hammy!

First Stern, oh sure, that girl you kidnapped and put in that infernal device means nothing to you, but that will not deter you to make you passionate vengeance speech in front of her.

And I understand that Chase’s particular point of view about life could alienate her from other heroines, but her situation is pretty bad, it alienated her from his friends, his best friend is a supervillain obsessed with her, and his boyfriend abandoned her… this is sad.

A great deconstruction, Great Work!

I've been writing this "return" for almost 10 years. It's a really neat script. I think you'll like it.

Dear Jpger:

Chase and Stern show us a deconstruction of the superhero scene. This seems so brutal. And of course, the fact that Chance is selling out Diana. Even when Diana is now her worst enemy, totally crazy, and Diana is doing it only to survive.

Scary!

Dear Jpger:

Stern Returns # 5 left me amazed, in shock! Just when I was thinking: “How the heck will Stern get revenge on both of them if he has to left Chase to their enemies to get Diana? “ you just give me the obvious answer: It’s because he will use Diana to get Chase back.

Now, I think there is something very wrong with this kind of plan (How on earth he will convince Diana?) but I prefer to wait and see.

Great job!

Dear Jpger:

Stern Returns # 6 left me dangling… because after the obvious torture devices and such clichés applied to poor Chase, you never answered Diana’s argument… How about she kills Stern and calls it a day?

I understand there is logic about being Diana and not Stern rescuind Chase, and I could understand Diana motives to do so, but how Stern will prevent his own death when both enemies escape?

I will read #7 to know!

Interesting end for the Gymnast, though the last panal does leave room for a come back.

If you're looking for new projects to work on, and interested in hearing from the fan base, I've been really hoping to see you do something with Molecular Girl.

We went through fourteen episodes of her orgins, to see her in costume in the last panel and havnt seen her in action in costume, in like, ever.

Quite the horrible tease.

Thank you for the kind words. That is sort of what I'm attempting to do. I'm going to go back through the series, and see which ones have left unfinished, and either close out the stories, or close out the character altogether. I have terrible ADD, so one of my biggest fails is that I'll get excited about a new project and abandon and old one. I'm working to correct that now. Death of the detective was meant to be a closure for many of the characters in the gymnast series. I also hinted that they would be taking care of Electron and Danger Dame as well.

I'm very glad you enjoyed the last chapter. I did add that last panel at the end in case. This way, if somebody has a favorite of the three characters that perished in that explosion, they could hope that their favorite character survived. It's doubtful I'll return to that series, but I did leave room if I'm pressured.

Molecular girl is a great suggestion. I think I will go back to that series and see what I can do with it.

Thanks.
